Susannah Bernheim, MD, MHS, is director of quality measurement at Yale-New Haven Hospital's Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) and a clinical instructor in the Yale School of Medicine. She is a primary care physician, is a fellowship-trained health services researcher, and has experience in managing quality improvement in health care settings. She received her MD degree at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and her master of health sciences degree at Yale. Following a residency in family medicine at UCSF she completed three years of health services research training as a Robert Wood Johnson clinical scholar and a fellow in geriatric epidemiology. She then spent two years as associate director of performance management for the Yale-New Haven health system. She has been at CORE for four years, the last two in her current position.
