Jessica Farb is an assistant director in the Health Care team of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). She supervises the preparation of health policy analyses, testimony, and reports to the U.S. Congress on Medicare payment systems and other health care financing issues. Since joining GAO in 2000, Ms. Farb’s extensive Medicare payment work has included detailed analyses of Medicare’s physician payment sustainable growth rate (SGR) and the supply and composition of physician services, as well as end-stage renal disease payment reforms and skilled nursing facility payment and staffing issues. Ms. Farb received her MA degree from the George Washington University and her BA and BS degrees from Appalachian State University.
