National Health Policy Forum

About The Forum

Products and Services

Covering a broad range of health policy topics, the Forum offers three distinct types of products:

Meetings, briefings, and workshops feature speakers from a wide variety of disciplines, experience, and viewpoints, including researchers, practitioners, policymakers, community leaders, consumers, health care industry executives, and purchasers from across the country to provide diversity of perspectives. All sessions are by invitation only; most serve broad audiences, but some sessions are targeted to smaller subsets, including congressional staff or the most senior-level policymakers.

Publications include Issue Briefs (concise, analytic reports on health policy issues), Background Papers (syntheses of market analysis or research findings on a particular topic or program initiative), and Basics (short primers that answer basic questions about programs and practices).

Site visits provide a small, select group of health policymakers with a firsthand look at health care programs and markets around the country. These one- to three-day site visits offer experiential learning and a view of the world beyond Washington, DC. Site visit reports capture participants' key impressions of a site visit and are shared with the Forum audience after the event.

Issues of Focus:

All Forum activities are free to federal staff members. Publications are available for download, free of charge, at www.nhpf.org.
