This meeting focused on the long-term care insurance (LTCI) market and its potential to help finance the growing demand for long-term care. Speakers reviewed the key characteristics, major players, and emerging products of this highly competitive market. Experiences from the recent federal offering of LTCI were described, and alternative public and public-private financing options were discussed.
